Founded in 2010, MATTHEW G BURTON ARCHITECT LLC provides architectural planning and design services for a wide range of new construction and renovation projects. Regardless of project type or size, we offer our clients a highly-qualified project team through our in-house expertise and a collaborative network of preferred consultants. This service model allows us to provide a full-service design solution that is specifically tailored to the needs of each client and each project. Sustainability is an integral part of our work and we are always looking for opportunities to recommend and implement both innovative and common-sense sustainable design features into each project where it benefits the client.

Our use of 3D modeling and visualization throughout the design process allows for a more complete understanding of the design concept. This results in a higher degree of confidence in the ultimate design solution, fewer changes during construction, and therefore lower final construction costs.

MATTHEW G. BURTON AIA, LEED AP

Matt is an accomplished and award-winning architect with more than 35 years professional experience and serves as the principal architect for all projects at MBA. Matt has extensive experience in the design of university facilities, medical facilities, government/military facilities, single and multi-family residential projects, and corporate/commercial architecture. Matt's project experience includes additions, alterations, and new construction projects with construction values ranging from under $25,000 to over $25 million. As a seasoned project manager, Matt is comfortable working one-on-one or leading large teams of stakeholders and consultants.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is an NCARB Certificate holder. Matt is currently licensed to practice architecture in Virginia, North Carolina, New York, Florida, Arizona, and California.

Matt is a LEED Accredited Professional and has successfully developed and implemented sustainable design strategies for both commercial and multi-family residential projects.
